"Ocean View" is the fifth episode of season one of the suspense thriller series Bates Motel. The episode was directed by David Straiton and written by Jeff Wadlow based on story concepts developed by Kerry Ehrin, Carlton Cuse and Anthony Cipriano. It first aired on A&E on Monday, April 15th, 2013. In this episode, Norman Bates bails his mother out of jail. She blames Norman for once again failing to be there for her. Norman tells Emma Decody about the Asian woman he found in Deputy Shelby's basement. Norma confides in Shelby about her arrest and he arranges to have any evidence against her disappear. While driving with Ethan, Dylan Massett witnesses an extreme act of violence and takes matters into his own hand.
