- This is the first appearance of Pablito's Fish & Chips.
- This is the first and only appearance of Candace Barr as a living person; dies in this episode. She also appears in flashback. She appears next as a corpse and a Deadite in "Booth Three".

- The Ruby Knowby that appears in this episode is the one from the 1982 timeline, not the one from seasons one and two who turned against her demonic heritage. This Ruby is still evil.
- This is the first and only appearance of Stanley Gibson who is an auctioneer who reads from the Necronomicon, thus summoning the Evil Dead. Dumbass. He is killed by Ruby Knowby in this episode.
Allusions[]
- The "Ashy Slashy" nickname is a call-back to the premiere episode of season two, "Home". As most people from Elk Grove believed that Ash Williams was responsible for the cabin deaths in 1982, they have taken to calling him "Ashy Slashy".
- Ashy Slashy is also the name of a puppet used by Baal to brainwash Ash Williams back in "Delusion" and "Ashy Slashy".
- Pablo Simon Bolivar once told Ruby Knowby about his dreams of opening a food truck in the season two episode "Ashy Slashy".
- A page from the Necronomicon that details the "Hero from the Sky" was previously seen in the film Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn.

- Brandy Barr: What?
- Ash Williams: But you can call me Dad, unless you're a Deadite, then you can go fuck yourself.
....
- Ash Williams: Wait a minute. Candace Barr. Oh no, Candy Barr? Well, this daughter of ours, I bet she thinks I'm pretty special, huh?
- Candace Barr: Dream on. I told her her old man was some crack dealer who got shanked in prison.
- Ash Williamss: What?
- Candace Barr: Well, it was easier than admitting I'd hooked up with psycho saw-boy!
