Artisan Entertainment, also known as Artisan Entertainment, Inc. (which redirects here) is an American independent film production company and studio. It was founded in 1980 as Family Home Entertainment. In 2003, Artisan was purchased by Lions Gate Entertainment - a distribution company, specializing in the home video market. The company was based out of Santa Monica, California.
