Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger is a former professional bodybuilder, actor and politician born in Thal, Styria, Austria on July 30th, 1947. In terms of his movie career, Arnold Schwarzenegger is best known for his action film work during the 1980s and 1990s, particularly the Conan the Barbarian, Predator and Terminator franchises.
Career[]
Arnold Schwarzenegger's involvement in the horror genre is minimal, but he has made some impact on the genre as a whole. In 1987 he had the lead role in John McTiernan's action/horror/sci-fi movie Predator where he played Special Forces commando Major Alan "Dutch" Schaefer, leader of a unit sent to Central America who encounter a dangerous alien hunter from another world.
In 1990 Arnold Schwarzenegger made his directorial debut with the second episode of season two of the horror anthology Tales from the Crypt entitled "The Switch".
In 1999, Arnold Schwarzenegger took the lead role of Jericho Cane in the apocalyptic occult thriller End of Days starring The Craft actress Robin Tunney.
