Armored Saint is a heavy metal band that originally formed in Los Angeles, California in 1992. The band was formed by brothers Phil and Gonzo Sandoval (guitarist and drummer) and included lead singer John Bush and bass player Joey Vera.

Armored Saint made a brief appearance in the 1992 horror film Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth. They played a Goth night club owned by J.P. Monroe called the Boiler Room. They performed the song Hanging Judge", which appeared as track 9 on their 1991 album Symbol of Salvation.

In the film, the Cenobite known as Pinhead is freed from the mystic pillar that kept him contained and is able to unleash Hell on Earth. Using the powers at his disposal, he slaughters everyone inside the Boiler Room, turning several partiers (including Monroe) into his new Cenobite lieutenants. Although it is never shown on-screen, it is assumed that the members of Armored Saint are killed as well.

Notes & Trivia[]

Although they are presumably killed in the film, the real members of Armored Saint are alive and well.
