Lonely Hearts" is the second episode of season one of the supernatural action TV series Angel and the third episode of the series overall when including the original unaired pilot. The episode was directed by James A. Contner and written by David Fury. It first aired on the WB Network on October 12th, 1999.
Plot[]
Doyle has a vision about a night club called D'Oblique and senses a feeling of impending dread. Angel investigates and tries to "make a connection" with an undercover LAPD officer named Kate Lockley. A Burrower demon begins possessing body after body, hoping to find the perfect vessel through which it can live, but the imperfect bodies that it chooses quickly burn out.
