The Amityville Murders is an American independent feature film of the horror and true crime genres. It was written and directed by Daniel Farrands. It was produced by Skyline Entertainment, Cinetel Films, Green Light Pictures and ETA Films. It was first screened at the Screamfest Film Festival in the United States on October 9th, 2018. It was released to the home video market on February 8th, 2019.

Actor Burt Young played Anthony Montelli in the film (an analog of Ronald DeFeo, Sr.) and Diane Franklin played Patricia Montelli (an analog of Dawn DeFeo). In The Amityville Murders, Burt Young plays Butch DeFeo's maternal grandfather Michael Brigante while Diane Franklin plays Butch DeFeo's mother, Louise DeFeo.
  • The "T" in Amityville on the movie poster is rendered upside down to make it resemble an inverted cross.
  • When Ronald DeFeo, Jr. is getting dressed at night, a war movie is playing on the small television in his room. The Wilhelm scream can be heard at the 70 minute mark when a tank explodes in the film.
