Amityville: The Evil Escapes is an American horror telemovie of the haunted house/demonic possession subgenre. It is the fourth installment in the Amityville Horror film series and follows 1983's Amityville 3-D. It is succeeded by the 1990 direct-to-video film The Amityville Curse. The movie was written, produced and directed by Sandor Stern based upon a book by John G. Jones. It premiered on NBC on May 12th, 1989. The film stars Patty Duke, Jane Wyatt, Fredric Lehne, Lou Hancock, Brandy Gold, Geri Betzler and Aron Eisenberg.
