American Horror Story: Cult is the seventh season of the FX Network horror anthology series American Horror Story. It aired on September 5th, 2017 and concluded on November 14th, 2017, making it the second season to premiere outside of October. This is the first season to air on Tuesdays as opposed to Wednesdays. This is also the third season following American Horror Story: Murder House and American Horror Story: Roanoke to end within the same year.

- This is the second season of the series to premiere in September. All previous seasons of the show premiered in October.
- As mentioned above, this is the first season of the series to air on Tuesdays as opposed to Wednesdays.
- Alison Pill and Billie Lourd are the only main cast members to be new to American Horror Story. Lourd previously collaborated with Ryan Murphy on the horror-comedy series Scream Queens.
- Alison Pill and Cheyenne Jackson are also the only main cast members to play only one role.
- John Carroll Lynch reprises his role as Twisty the Clown, though this version of Twisty is the main antagonist of the fictional comic series "The Twisty Chronicles" based on the real-life crimes of Twisty.
- Evan Peters portrays the most characters in a single season with seven, portraying mainly Kai Anderson and guest starring as Andy Warhol, Jesus, as well as notorious cult leaders Marshall Applewhite, David Koresh, Jim Jones and Charles Manson.
- Charles Manson passed away on November 19, 2017, five days after the airing of Cult's finale, "Great Again".
- This is the only season not to feature series mainstay Lily Rabe.
