Albert Edward Sutherland was a British film director. He was born in London, England on January 5th, 1895. As a director, he got his start during the Vaudeville era, and began directing silent films during the 1920s. He had little involvement in the horror genre, but steered close to it with the 1940 comedy film The Invisible Woman. Although this movie is often grouped with the Invisible Man film franchise, it has no other connection to it beyond its name. This was Sutherland's only work in the genre. Albert Sutherland passed away in Palm Springs, California on December 31st, 1973 at the age of 78.
